What this position entails

IntelliScript's IT organization has been a key part of IntelliScript's past success and is critical to our future. Join a team of Systems Engineers turned Cloud Engineers, as we continue our journey migrating legacy on-premise applications and infrastructure into AWS. This role will play a critical role in supporting both our existing datacenter operations and our evolving cloud environment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, implement, and optimize solutions that bridge traditional systems engineering with modern cloud practices.

What you'll be doing



  • Lead and support the migration of on-premise infrastructure and applications to AWS
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing on-premise systems, including virtualization, storage, networking, and firewalls
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automation tools
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and infrastructure changes
  • Ensure security best practices are applied to both on-premise and cloud environments
  • Collaborate with application teams, shared services, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical systems
  • Document processes, architectures, and configurations for both legacy and cloud environments


What we need



  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and/or cloud engineering roles
  • Hands-on experience with on-premise datacenter technologies: virtualization (Hyper-V preferred, but open to VMware), storage (SAN/NAS), networking (routing, switching), and firewalls
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, load balancing)
  • Familiarity with Windows administration in both on-premise and cloud environments
  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Location

The expected application deadline for this job is March 31, 2026. This role is a remote position based out of either the Milliman Brookfield, WI or Chicago, IL office. Candidates hired for this position must be willing to travel to our datacenters in Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL as needed.

Compensation

The overall salary range for this role is $104,900 - $199,065.

For candidates residing in:



  • Illinois the salary range is $120,635 - $199,065.
  • Wisconsin the salary range is $104,900 - $173,100.


A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
