Human Resources Internship (DE&I) - Las Vegas

Interns are hired through a third-party vendor rather than directly by Southwest Gas.

This internship is based in Las Vegas, NV. Please note that relocation support, including housing or moving assistance, is not provided for this opportunity.

Internship dates: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

We are looking for interns to join our Human Resources Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) team for an 11-week period lasting from early June to mid August. The internship requires 40 hours of work per week in a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely from home in Las Vegas).

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Human Resources in the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) discipline. We are interested in students who have excellent relationship-building, leadership, and communication skills. You should also have a passion for advancing a culture of belonging and uplifts, partners with and engages in the communities we serve.

Our paid internship provides an amazing opportunity for students to gain practical experience and train with professionals with dozens of years of experience in the Human Resources field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in DEI initiatives such as:

• Organize DEI events

• Help local non-profit groups

• Participate and engage with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

• Participate and engage with our Diversity Council

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Business Management or Human Resources

• Must be in a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior status

• Excellent relationship-building skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent organization and attention to details

• Able to balance multiple projects

• Basic data literacy

SALARY DETAILS

$22-27/hour
