Job Description

At Matrix PDM we strive to recruit, hire and develop high caliber Engineering graduates for our summer internship program. The purpose of this program is to provide practical experience to top university students while identifying individuals with the ambition and talent to become our next generation of leaders at Matrix PDM.

The summer internship program is approximately 10 weeks in length. Interns will assist Matrix PDM's in-house engineering and drafting while gaining insight into the industrial construction industry with a focus on cryogenic storage.

Essential Functions



  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Participate in on-the-job training.
  • Assist engineering staff with assignments.
  • Performs basic engineering tasks such as reviewing technical documents, developing sketches, and checking design calculations.
  • Complete capstone project.


Qualifications



  • Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering with completion of at least 4 semesters of coursework
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and MS Word
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive in researching and proposing solutions
  • Ability to effectively work within a team
  • High motivation and curiosity
  • GPA 3.0 or greater
