Position Overview:

The Web Developer is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites and web applications on time and within budget. This position will work closely with the business users to understand the business requirements and create an appropriate solution. This position involves leading custom web development throughout the entire project life cycle.



Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Support and enhance websites developed in WordPress platform using HTML5/CSS, PHP and JavaScript
  • Design and develop new functionality for existing and new applications
  • Routine daily maintenance of existing websites and attend to production issues with timeliness and diligence
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Developing prototypes of applications
  • Identify new technologies or technological improvements to include in the application to improve usability, stability and maintainability
  • Provide technical consultation for the business community
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the team (i.e. improving documentation, software quality improvement, etc.) and outline and implement solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents

Qualifications

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or sufficient, relevant work experience to equate to the degree
  • Five (5) + years of proven work experience in responsive web development
  • Five (5) + years of WordPress development experience or equivalent CMS Platform development experience
  • Five (5) + years of experience with SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS Platforms
  • Five (5) + years of functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP)
  • Front-end development experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Ajax
  • Strong systems analysis, problem solving and design skills
  • Possess solid understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization process
  • Strong understanding of accessibility/disability/508 compliance requirements and building accessible websites
  • Possess solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management and best development practices
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, excellent customer service skills and team player
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
  • Experience with version control solutions such as GitHub or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Project Management Techniques and Project Management tools such as Jira



Preferred:



  • Previous experience working in an HMO
  • .Net development experience using C# and ASP.NET
  • Experience using .Net Framework 3.5 and 4.5
  • Experience writing Functional\Technical specifications
  • Experience in the design of relational database structures
  • Experience with Telerik tool set
  • Experience with Analytics reports development such as Google's Data Studio or Power BI
  • Experience with Azure App Services
