Primary Purpose of Position
Serves as the first level of engagement to both visitors and callers ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, ordering and maintaining office supplies, and providing administrative support to unit directors as needed. Additionally, the Receptionist acts as a backup to the Executive Assistant, assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and other executive-level tasks when required.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Job Duties
Responsible for handling HR front office reception and administration for a high-volume team.
This role will assist visitors and callers with a variety of HR inquiries, responding to general inquiries in a very customer-friendly manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is required. Will also collect and distribute mail, daily.
Other Work Responsibilities
Will assist the department with various reports and projects as needed.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • Previous work experience in a human resources office or a field where building relationships with clientele and helping to navigate challenging situations in a very public-facing position is strongly preferred.
  • The successful candidate will have solid problem-solving skills, conflict resolution skills, with ability to show empathy in high-stress situations.
  • Microsoft and Google Suite intermediate experience preferred; with very strong oral and written communication skills, combined with strong customer service orientation.
  • A demonstrated ability to perform multiple assignments efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced work environment such as assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and other executive-level tasks is also strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with BANNER and 49'er Mart preferred.
