Join our innovative team in the Bloomberg Industry Group newsroom! The Special Projects Content Editor will create and manage special news projects and awards content as part of our Rankings, Surveys and Awards team. You will build and guide editorial content that engages legal and corporate leaders and amplifies their work. You will work with executive editor and other editors across the newsroom to produce a suite of special news reports and projects.

What you will do:

  • Guide the development and editing process of key Bloomberg Law special reports. Develop report formats. Edit, write and gather content as needed for use in reports.
  • Communicate with law firm personnel and other external contacts on submission inquiries and other questions related to special reports.
  • Closely steerthe submission and review process and promptly respond to inquiries and/or questions. Guide applicants and firm personnel through the submission and review processes.Serve as a resource for newsroom teams reviewing materials in submission-driven special reports. This will include creating organizational tools to facilitate submission review.
  • Communicate with other teams inside and outside of the newsroom to facilitate the publication and marketing of special report content.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned.

You need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in English or journalism preferred.
  • At least 5 years of professional journalism experience, which includes at least 3 years editing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience editing and writing news features.
  • Demonstrated experience conceptualizing, leading and collaborating on longer-term news projects from concept pitch to publication.
  • Experience collaborating with other editors and graphics teams.
  • Background knowledge on the legal profession; law firms preferred.
