* Conduct applied research responsive to regional needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of Extension specialists, research scientists, local agents, producers, and industry partners.

* Create innovative educational materials, technical resources, and digital communications (e.g., publications, webinars, social media) to empower Extension agents, farmers, agribusiness professionals, and clientele.

* Provide leadership, mentorship, and in-service training to local unit Extension agents.

* Engage in scholarly activities, including professional organization involvement, Extension publications, and pursuit of extramural funding.

* Contribute to a broader impact through regional, state, national, and international programming where appropriate.

Opportunities exist for collaboration across Kansas State Research and Extension (KSRE) units and on-campus departments. Pursuing an advanced degree (e.g., Ph.D.) is encouraged, with potential for doctoral research at SEREC.
