Summary of Job Duties:The MBA Recruitment and Outreach Lead plays a critical role in connecting the Walton MBA programs with corporate and industry professionals by actively cultivating and expanding strategic partnerships. This individual is responsible for developing new relationships with key business leaders while strengthening existing connections to ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified corporate and industry professionals interested in advancing their careers through Walton College's MBA offerings.

Success in this role requires a proactive, relationship-driven approach to employer and candidate engagement, with a strong emphasis on in-person outreach, strategic partnership development, and tailored recruitment strategies. The MBA Recruitment and Outreach Lead will spend a majority of their time meeting with corporate and industry professionals, attending networking events, representing the Walton MBA programs at corporate and professional gatherings, and understanding workforce trends that influence MBA enrollment decisions.

By maintaining a deep understanding of employer needs and industry trends, the MBA Recruitment and Outreach Lead will shape recruitment initiatives that align with the career goals of prospective MBA candidates and the evolving needs of corporate and industry partners. Additionally, the MBA Recruitment and Outreach Lead will collaborate closely with the MBA Director, the Executive MBA Director, and program staff to integrate employer relations into academic and professional development initiatives.

A successful candidate will be a dynamic relationship-builder with exceptional communication skills, capable of navigating a wide range of business and professional environments. This position requires frequent travel for recruitment and corporate engagement, participation in events during evenings and weekends as needed, and the ability to analyze engagement data to assess trends, identify gaps, measure impact, and refine recruitment strategies.

Regular, reliable, and in-person attendance is an essential job duty, along with the ability to foster collaborative and collegial working relationships across teams and partners. The position will require standard office hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday) with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities to support recruitment and engagement events, including EMBA class weekends. Additionally, this position will have a significant amount of local travel. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Minimum 3 years of experience that demonstrates growth and/or advancement in the recruitment of corporate and industry professionals

  • Demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing recruiting strategies and programming for corporate and industry professionals

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with companies, executives, and alumni

  • Proficient with web-based resources, spreadsheet and presentation software required (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, communications, marketing, human resources, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to retain corporate and industry professionals

  • Comprehensive understanding of the MBA curriculum and the ability to articulate the professional and organizational value of an MBA to corporate and industry audiences

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the needs and decision-making processes of corporate and industry professionals

  • Proficiency using Excel for data analysis

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Slate)

  • Experience working with students in a higher education environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated project management abilities, interpersonal skills, and excellence in oral and written communication

  • Must be able to develop effective presentations and speak confidently to large audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly, to listen actively, and to adapt to changing situations

  • Creative problem-solving skills and innovative thinking for outreach to corporate and industry professionals

  • Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse populations

  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally and nationally

Additional Information:

Salary Information:

$61,736 - $70,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
