Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Tar Heel, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location, conducting unarmed patrols and mobile rounds with a highly visible presence to help to discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license for perimeter checks, access point monitoring, and quick response to calls for service. Deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and detailed reports as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization for contractors and deliveries, and directing traffic flow as assigned.
  • Complete reports and logs such as shift activity reports, patrol notes, and incident reports, and communicate important information to site contacts and incoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
