Our client is looking for a Ratings Policy Specialist to join their team!
This is a 40 hours/week, 12-month long assignment that will require a hybrid schedule out of Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities: - Evaluate a high-volume, global content catalog to determine accurate maturity ratings, content advisories, and local sensitivities, directly shaping how audiences discover and engage with content worldwide. - Apply expert judgment and nuanced analysis across genres, formats, and cultural contexts to ensure ratings decisions are consistent, defensible, and aligned with global standards. - Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to audit ratings and advisories, identify trends, and continuously elevate classification quality and operational excellence. - Clearly articulate ratings rationale, edge cases, and policy interpretations to leadership and internal teams, building trust and shared understanding. - Support complex escalations related to ratings and advisories, navigating ambiguity with composure and sound decision-making. - Leverage internal tools and data systems to manage large content datasets with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. - Contribute to the evolution of ratings policy and best practices by sharing insights and recommending process improvements. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in content classification, content moderation, content strategy, standards & practices, or a closely related field. - Deep knowledge of global ratings boards' standards and requirements, with the ability to apply them consistently at scale. - Proven ability to exercise strong judgment in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while managing complex, sensitive content decisions. - Advanced proficiency with data management tools such as Airtable, Google Sheets, or similar platforms; experience working with large content catalogs strongly preferred. The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $40-50 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
