Role Description

This is an opportunity to partner with a CEO and the executive leadership team to lead the global strategy function for an S&P500 company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Corporate Strategy, Business Analytics & Competitive Intelligence, and Global PMO.
  • Lead a highly talented team of ten strategists and project manager that serves the organization globally
  • Prepare for and lead semi-annual Executive Team strategy offsites, focused on strategy development and agile resource allocation toward highest priority areas
  • Oversee and run strategy projects, sponsored by the Zoetis Executive Team, spanning topics from innovative growth, portfolio management, transformation, customer experience, data & digital, talent, etc.
  • Build and shepherd the Zoetis Corporate Strategy across the organization
  • Collaborate and lead across multiple cross-functional committees, e.g., Enterprise Risk Management
  • Manage preparation of strategic assessments, CEO Reports, and competitive intelligence evaluations for the Board of Directors. Lead semi-annual Strategic discussions with the Board of Directors.
  • Lead market and BU-level strategic reviews to understand market potential, prioritize and quantify investment opportunities, and outline capabilities and resources needed to successfully implement
  • Facilitate recurring and ad hoc workshops with the Executive Leadership Team to define long-term strategic priorities (annual strategic planning, Digital fluency, etc.)
  • Provide strategic clarity and analytical rationale for M&A activities including potential divestitures
  • Act as Strategic Liaison for other Zoetis business units and functions; consult with other leaders on business priorities and provide hands-on guidance where needed.

Organizational relationships

  • Internally collaborates/partners with: ZET and ZET-1 leaders in Commercial, R&D, GMS, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, Commercial Development and Life Cycle Planning and Business Development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience, BA/BS required with impeccable academic credentials; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Management consulting experience required; Senior Principal or Partner-level with experience in healthcare or consumer products preferred. Prior corporate experience a plus, especially digital experience
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strength in structuring complex issues
  • Natural curiosity and inquisitiveness are keys to success in the role
  • Ability to manage and grow a team
  • Humility and empathy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment

Physical Position Requirements:

  • Position is based in Parsippany, NJ
  • Travel requirement: variable, approximately 10%

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $300,000.00 - $436,000.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range

for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation

This position is also eligible for long-term incentives
