Clinical VistA Analyst & Architect

The Opportunity:

This is a high visibility role where you will engage with customer business stakeholders, technical stakeholders, development teams, testers and a variety of other team members. As a Clinical Functional Area Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing user business problems to be solved with automated systems as the Subject Matter Expert. You'll work directly with client stakeholders alongside software developers and business analysts to formulate and define information system scope and objectives. While you may perform some coding, this role is much broader. You will provide problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and assist with the implementation of systems to meet business, user, and functional requirements. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills who as a functional and technical expert can prepare communications and make presentations on recommendations on system enhancements or alternatives.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with systems, software, process, and data analysis

  • Experience as a clinical analyst in a government healthcare environment

  • Experience assisting in the design, integration, or troubleshooting of technology solutions

  • Experience with clinical or patient care VistA modules

  • Experience with system, data, and requirements analysis, development of technical integrations, and design of proof of concept (POC) solutions

  • Experience with Scrum, Agile, and Kanban ceremonies

  • Knowledge of VistA deployment processes and requirements

  • Ability to align with patient care priorities and operational demands within healthcare facilities

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working in a Department of Veterans Affairs environment

  • Experience working with JIRA

  • Experience with VistA-Pharmacy or VistA-CPRS

  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills, including identifying problems before they emerge

  • GFE and PIV Certification

  • SAFe Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
