TWB Company LLC seeks Plant Transformation Lead I at its facility located at 7295 N Haggerty Rd, Canton, MI 48187. JOB DESCRIPTION: Develop and mentor the local Operations group in adopting and owning TWB's Transformation system by acting as an internal consultant. Collect, critically analyze, and interpret production data (scrap, uptime, PPH) to drive performance improvement and fact-based decision making. Understand and effectively use statistical tools (control charts, t-tests, etc.) to complete operational diagnostics. Design experiments to transform the current state of operations. Identify bottlenecks/waste sources and facilitate engineered problem-solving sessions throughout facility. Implement industrial engineering lean tools including but not limited to RCPS, SMED and Kaizens to optimize plant layout, inventory control, material flow, and processing throughout the facility. Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives including long-term strategic improvements and short-term quick wins with immediate financial implications. Create project justifications and complete cost benefit analyses to prioritize initiatives. Manage Transformation initiatives at the facility level. Project/program management experience is required. Provide guidance on sustaining capabilities for deck-building and storyline for reviews. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in lean manufacturing or a related field. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: 1) Identifying, conducting, and analyzing business/production diagnostics; 2) Applying lean tools, analysis, root cause problem solving, and planning requirements to improve operations; 3) Implementing transformation/continuous improvement efforts for operations; 4) Planning and managing projects to ensure transformation deliverables and milestones are met; 5) Leading and facilitating training and process improvement workshops; 6) Coaching project owners to drive positive change within the organization; and 7) Managing and implementing process changes to sustain improvements of operations. | |
