In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining, modifying, and installing Automated Fueling System Equipment (AFHE) and for an IAS/ATG/OPS Electronics Technician. Working alone or in small teams, this individual will perform testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of Defense installations across the United States with to include supporting Pacific Island locations.

The Electronics Technician ensures proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and install electronic components and electrical systems using hand tools and testing instruments, and keeps organized, detailed records of work performed, with potential remote assignments at sites and projects worldwide. Your dedication will directly contribute to the seamless operations essential for Global Readiness & Sustainment of the United States Military.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Efficient Time and Resource Management: Strategically manage time and resources to meet demanding schedules while adhering to Weston and stakeholder standards for quality and value.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and track maintenance documents and deliverables, ensuring timely submission for review and approval.
  • Customer Site Coordination: Organize, schedule, and execute high-quality work at customer sites, maintaining excellence in service delivery.
  • Oversight of Technical Drawings: Supervise the creation, interpretation, updating, approval, and upkeep of AFSI/AFHE drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders, collaborating effectively with site personnel to achieve project objectives.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support organizational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Active-Duty SkillBridge Candidate.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently with hand tools.
  • Capable of working independently, outdoors, climbing three flights of stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, including 3-phase AC circuits, single-phase AC circuits, DC voltage, and control circuits.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment for troubleshooting (e.g., multimeters, process calibration meters).
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and design drawings.
  • Basic understanding of networking and IP addressing within a closed network.
  • Must successfully pass a NACLC security background check and drug screening.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Windows.
  • Perform routine preventive (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on industrial electrical equipment, coordinating activities with the fuels operations team.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical components, including motors, sensors, and control panels.
  • Conduct functional testing of pump safety systems and associated emergency shutdown mechanisms.
  • Test analog pressure transmitters and motor-operated valve actuators for proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex automation systems, with emphasis on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs); experience with Emerson GE PLCs is highly desirable.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and government regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites across the United States.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Current possession of a government CAC card, preferred
  • Active or previous security clearance, preferred

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $63,550-$83,845-$103,833
