Job Title: Supervisor, Clinical Support Services (RN)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Pay Range: $78,646.54 - $121,000.00 yearly. The actual hiring rate may vary based on several factors, including your previous work experience, educational background, the responsibilities of the position, and demonstrated performance. Job Summary: Shenandoah Oncology is looking for a Supervisor, Clinical Support Services that will embody our core values, The RETIC Way: Respect, Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity, and Compassion that provides RN-level clinical leadership and oversight for the Medical Assistant (MA) Team and related clinical support services. This role coordinates daily activities to ensure efficient patient flow, adherence to clinical standards, and the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care. The Supervisor supports staff development, competency validation, and workflow effectiveness while collaborating closely with the Clinical Manager, nursing staff, providers, and operational leaders to maintain safe, efficient clinic operations.


Responsibilities

  • Provides RN-level clinical oversight for MA staff across clinic areas, ensuring safe execution of clinical support activities.
  • Monitors daily clinic workflow, adjusting MA assignments as needed.
  • Supports patient flow across rooming, triage, labs, and treatment areas.
  • Reinforces adherence to clinical protocols, OSHA standards, and documentation practices.
  • Provides real-time coaching and escalates clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Leads onboarding, skills training, and competency validation for all MA staff.
  • Maintains role-based workflows, checklists, and competency tools.
  • Provides ongoing education, coaching, and development to elevate MA practice.
  • Supports performance evaluations and behavioral expectations with the Clinical Manager.
  • Ensures adequate MA staffing and coverage across clinical functions.
  • Provides input on scheduling, cross-coverage, and workflow improvements.
  • Monitors quality, operational performance, and patient flow metrics.
  • Serves as central resource for MA questions and workflow clarification.
  • Communicates process changes and expectations clearly.
  • Participates in interviews and hiring processes for MA positions.
  • Performs RN duties as needed to support clinic operations.
  • Assists with policy updates, quality initiatives, and operational projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Minimum three (3) years clinical nursing experience; oncology preferred.
  • Supervisory, charge, or team-lead experience required.
  • Experience collaborating with or overseeing Medical Assistants strongly preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to standardize workflows and support process improvement.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, infection control, and documentation standards.
