Job Description

Job Title: Material Program Manager C
Location: Pascagoula, MS

General Function:

The Material Program Manager C is responsible for all aspects of program material management and reporting. This role serves as the lead for assigned program material and reports directly to the Senior Material Program Manager.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the material financial health of the assigned program.
  • Develop and maintain detailed estimates at completion (EAC) and conduct risk and opportunity analyses.
  • Establish and manage the Material Performance Measurement Baseline and Control Account Plan.
  • Provide detailed cost and schedule variance explanations.
  • Act as the program lead for all Cost Account Management (CAM) activities.
  • Ensure timely material updates are communicated to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure material requirements are clearly defined and supported.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Proficiency in analyzing data and clearly communicating findings.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Ability to effectively present detailed information to various audiences.
  • Adaptability to high-paced environments.
  • Basic understanding of procurement practices in a government contracting setting.
  • Strong capability in modeling and tracking program material financial metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong working relationships across teams and with clients.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of driving organizational success.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Experience & Training Requirements

  • Preferred but not limited to 2 years' Supply Chain experience and /or shipbuilding experience.
  • Finance background
  • Basic knowledge of procurement practices and EVM guidelines.
  • Experience in a Federal Government Contracting environment, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) knowledge.
  • Preferred: Background in U.S. Naval Shipbuilding or related maritime defense programs.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that meets the required qualifications will also be considered.
  • Business-related college degree ideal, but related material management experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
