THE ROLE:

The Customer Operations Account Manager serves as the vital link between AMD and its customers, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery. This role focuses on building strong, sustainable relationships at both operational and managerial levels, acting as a trusted partner to anticipate needs and deliver effective solutions. Responsibilities include managing the entire product lifecycle, resolving complex supply and delivery challenges, and driving operational excellence to support AMD's strategic objectives. Success in this position requires collaboration across teams and the ability to influence outcomes that enhance customer satisfaction and organizational growth.

They are proactive, adaptable, and skilled at resolving conflicts and driving process improvements. With sound judgment and problem-solving ability, they navigate uncertainty confidently while fostering collaboration and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review customer backlogs regularly and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Manage business through all product lifecycle stages (NPI to EOL).
  • Control inventory and DOI to minimize costs.
  • Balance demand and supply for direct customers and distribution channels.
  • Monitor consumption and ordering patterns to perform demand/supply analysis.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and ensure on-time revenue projections.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships internally and externally to ensure continuity.
  • Lead projects and provide consultative advice to management and partners.
  • Share best practices within the team and remove operational obstacles.
  • Continuously develop skills and adopt new tools to enhance organizational capability.
  • Drive operational excellence and customer collaboration for efficient service.
  • Collect feedback and guide implementation of new processes aligned with strategy.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and operational meetings with customers.
  • Provide guidance on resolving operational issues and support business processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong supply chain knowledge; distribution experience preferred.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Ability to understand business strategy and identify process improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation abilities for executive-level communication.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Skilled in building and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical capability to manage cross-functional dependencies.
  • Comfortable working in uncertain and dynamic environments.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
