Location: Maui (various customer sites; daily start/end varies by assignment) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Top Skills & Requirements * Interest in learning the telecom trade (Layer 1: fiber, Cat5/Cat6). Training provided for candidates without prior experience. * Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs (heavy/awkward ladders, tools, equipment). * Must pass a drug test and have a valid driver's license. Job Description * Splice fiber optic cables (loose tube and ribbon). * Build and install splice cases including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing. * Read work orders, cut sheets, engineering drawings, and follow task sequences. * Follow BICSI and industry standards on all telecom installations. * Interpret aerial and underground telecom facilities and provide recommendations for route changes. * Maintain accurate inside/outside plant documentation. * Support engineering, permitting, and construction teams as needed. * Perform routine maintenance and repair route issues (hand hole cleanup, signage, etc.). * Install and connect cables to terminals, hardware, buildings, and poles. * Participate in emergency and outage response requiring construction capabilities. * Ensure all work is compliant with safety standards and public safety requirements. * Work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Complete daily production reports and asbuilt documentation.
