TransUnion's Insurance Solutions team partners across TransUnion to shape strategy and deliver innovative vehicle solutions for the U.S. personal lines insurance market. You'll join a team that values collaboration, compliance, and customer-centricity, ensuring our products meet evolving market needs while staying within regulatory boundaries.

As an Insurance Product Consultant, you will support the development and delivery of innovative vehicle solutions for the U.S. personal lines market. This role combines analytical thinking with hands-on execution, requiring close collaboration across cross-functional teams to create products that meet evolving customer and market needs. You will manage multiple initiatives, synthesize insights from diverse sources, and ensure alignment with business priorities through clear, consistent communication.

What You'll Bring:

You will coordinate with internal and external teams to prioritize and execute initiatives, deliver engaging client presentations, and gather Voice of the Customer insights to guide product enhancements. Working closely with data scientists and vendors, you'll help refine vehicle solutions, assess market demand, and identify improvement opportunities. Additionally, you'll maintain thorough documentation on product usage, compliance, and state regulatory requirements.

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or management, plus 4+ years of product management experience within the P&C insurance industry (focus on product, pricing, or underwriting). Experience with third-party vendor solutions is a plus.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance regulations, SERFF, and state filing processes.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical abilities paired with exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client presentations and KPI dashboard reporting.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, apply design-thinking principles, and maintain a customer-centric mindset.
  • Market Awareness: Skilled at leveraging internal and external data to understand market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Technical Partnership: Experience collaborating with data science, IT, and legal teams.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Product Roadmap Execution: Support the delivery of TransUnion Vehicle Solutions roadmap, including assessing enhancement impacts and prioritizing product changes.
  • Product Health & Performance: Manage product backlog, coordinate with technology and operations teams, and balance post-MVP plans with customer needs. Track and measure success using established KPIs.
  • Go-to-Market: Partner with market development teams to create compelling GTM materials for new products and enhancements.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Build expertise in vehicle data solutions for the insurance market. Communicate product value propositions, coordinate validations and customer testing, support implementations, and maintain product documentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure product changes meet regulatory requirements and internal review processes.
  • Profitability & Optimization: Monitor product profitability and work with sales and customers to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Interact with Departments of Insurance (DOIs) and stakeholders on rate filings, regulatory changes, and product-related issues.
  • Market Intelligence: Research competitors, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform product design and development.

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - $105,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
