Back Retail Store Assistant Manager #26-0065 Midvale, Utah, United States Apply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description Job Objective The Retail Store Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, helping ensure excellent customer service, strong sales performance, and efficient store operations. This role plays a key part in supporting associates, maintaining store standards, and stepping in as the acting manager when needed. Key Responsibilities: Support daily store operations to drive sales and profitability Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional customer service Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed Operate cash registers and ensure accurate cash handling and reporting Check in vendors and fuel deliveries Maintain appropriate inventory levels and support inventory counts Assist with scheduling and shift coverage Support merchandising standards, including product stocking and display maintenance Maintain store cleanliness and appearance, including pumps and surrounding property Follow all company safety, security, and loss prevention policies Protect company assets and ensure compliance with company procedures Communicate personnel or operational concerns to the Store Manager Store Maintenance & Safety Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, pumps, and surrounding property Monitor refrigeration equipment and fuel systems for proper operation Report maintenance or safety issues promptly Assist with fuel inventory monitoring when required This position requires reliable attendance and punctuality, as coverage may be limited during certain shifts. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties Ability to work in coolers and freezers for short periods Comfortable working around gasoline fumes and cleaning products Licensing Requirements: Current, valid Driver's License Current, valid state food handler's permit Physical Requirements This role requires standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, stocking shelves, and working in various temperatures, including coolers and freezers.
