Life Enrichment Assistant - Part Time - Days - Tabitha at Williamsburg

Tabitha at Williamsburg in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to work part time, typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am- 4:30pm. No holidays and weekends on very rare situations.

The Life Enrichment Assistant contributes to the wellbeing of Tabitha's Seniors/clients/residents by heading up programs of Life Enrichment which provide stimulation or solace; promote each Senior/client's self-respect, self-expression, personal responsibility and choice. The Life Enrichment Assistant encourages Seniors/clients to exercise their abilities through physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional challenges. Each of these areas is vitally important to Tabitha's ability to meet the goal of providing optimum care to Tabitha's Seniors/clients.

Essential Functions

• Initiates one-to-one contact with Seniors/clients to develop relationships and assess mental, physical and emotional status.
• Plans, develops, organizes and implements group and individual Life Enrichment for Seniors/clients to exercise their abilities through physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional challenges.
• Plans, develops, organizes and implements individualized Life Enrichment activities which meet needs identified and that are based on past interests, current abilities, and any assessed new interests of the Senior/client.
• Assists Seniors/clients to and from Life Enrichment as needed.
• Develops new tools to better meet the Seniors/clients and staff needs to aide in the success of Life Enrichment.
• Communicates effectively with Seniors/clients, families, staff and support services to achieve Senior/client goals and meet service expectations.
• Develops Life Enrichment which utilizes community resources.
• Assures Life Enrichment services are administered in accordance with Senior/client wishes.
• Assists with supervising community volunteers assigned to the Life Enrichment department.

Ideal Candidate

• EQUIPMENT USAGE: Standard and specialized equipment including wheelchairs, walkers, laptop, PC, tablet, photocopier, scanner, fax machine, elevator, projector, telephone, electronic devices, and transportation lift.
• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18.
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six months experience working with Seniors.
• CREDENTIALS: Valid Nebraska Driver's license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.

Compensation
At Eventide | Tabitha, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $15-16.80 per hour for Life Enrichment Assistants based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
