Degree Requirements: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering (emphasis on materials)

Detailed Primary Job Description:

  • Familiarity with Python is required
  • Ability to work in non-standard programming environments is required (ie, no linting, autocomplete, web access only git, etc)
  • Portfolio of personal projects, project contributions, or demonstrations of knowledge (ie, leetcode, github) preferred.
  • Should be able to pass a simple technical review focusing on the standard library
  • Python specific skills


  • Good understanding of Standard Library required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel Integrations through Pandas and Openpyxl preferred
  • Familiarity with the tkinter package and its various UI elements preferred
  • Familiarity with Spyder IDE for programming, debugging, and testing preferred
  • Ability to read and understand PyDoc generated documentation required
  • Good code hygiene (comments, PyDoc requirements, etc.) preferred



Detailed Secondary Job Description:

  • Responsible for supporting Materials and Process (M&P) Engineering activities for all product lines. Specifically, identification and recommendation of materials, provision of substantiating performance and process data, development and analysis of design data & allowables, and creation or amending of procurement and process specifications.
  • Individual will perform design review and approval for: materials (metallic, non-metallic, & composite), material processing notes, producibiltiy, environmental conformance and selection of protective finishes.
  • Exposure to Static Systems including but not limited to Airframe, Interiors, Propulsion as well as Dynamic Systems including Blades, Rotors, Controls/Hydraulics and Transmissions.
  • The position will also interface and support the material supply chain, the parts supply chain and partners, Supplier Support Engineering, Product Integrity, Procurement, and Operations organizations, in addition to Design Engineering support.
  • Non-Destructive test methods
  • Protective finishes and coatings
  • Corrosion enhancement and prevention
