As a Security Officer - Armed Screener in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener, where you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment in a government location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and to maintain order in accordance with established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as necessary based on site guidelines.
• Monitor and control access points, verifying identification and credentials as required by location policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and activities during each shift.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, reporting any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
