The Switchboard Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Hospital Switchboard.

The Switchboard is the main information resource for and facilitates communication between all Meriter customers, including physicians, patients, staff, and the general public. The operator provides first response for all hospital emergencies and functions as the after-hour answering service for Meriter clinics.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 5-7 years Medical Call Center experience
  • 3-5 year's experience with call center phone and software systems
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity and confidence.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two-year Associate Degree
  • Familiarity with Spok/Intellidesk software system
  • Familiarity with Meriter Hospital services
  • SPOK software System
