Senior Accountant - Assurance Services

Location: Center City Philadelphia (Near Rittenhouse Square)

Schedule: Full-Time | In Office

A growing professional services firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Assurance Services team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who values client engagement, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to contribute meaningfully within an expanding organization. Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the assurance team, supporting audit, review, compilation, and advisory engagements. This position includes direct client contact, collaboration with firm leadership, and opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as the firm grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and performing audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Prepare financial statements and related deliverables
  • Manage accounting services and client accounts across various industries
  • Lead monthly closings, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
  • Prepare and analyze core financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Provide general business and management advisory services
  • Collaborate directly with firm leadership and support new client onboarding



Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to research applicable guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online
  • Independent, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • High cognitive, emotional, and social intelligence
