Civil Construction Estimator/Project Manager

Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

Evaluate site conditions, potential risks, and cost impacts to develop accurate pricing.

Prepare detailed estimates for labor, equipment, and materials based on conceptual and schematic designs.

Independently complete full project take offs and estimates using HCSS or comparable estimating software.

Meet all bid deadlines and ensure take offs and pricing are completed ahead of submission dates.

Demonstrate strong understanding of construction methods, assemblies, and project phases.

Monitor daily project activities to ensure adherence to budgets, quality expectations, and safety standards.

Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules.

Conduct site visits to verify manpower levels, production quantities, and overall work quality.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance

Experience in estimating and/or project management is ideal; equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Background in heavy highway, or general civil construction projects is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with construction processes, assemblies, and project lifecycles.

Proficiency with HCSS or similar estimating software is a plus.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
