Ulteig is seeking a Renewables Market Technical Lead - Civil to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy. You'll collaborate with market leaders, technical teams, and business development stakeholders to strengthen client partnerships, advance key pursuits, and implement scalable processes that improve efficiency and client satisfaction. Proposal Development & Support - 50%



  • Coordinate and lead civil and structural engineering proposal efforts for renewable projects, including technical scoping input, pricing validation, and narrative development.
  • Contribute to renewables business planning, pipeline forecasting, and annual target development.
  • Develop and maintain pursuit checklists, mind maps, and other scalable tools to improve proposal consistency and quality.
  • Support opportunity tracking coordination and maintain pursuit documentation alongside Market Leaders and Client Team Leads.
  • Update opportunity tracking records with potential leads and proposal statuses to ensure visibility and alignment across internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in go/no-go discussions to ensure alignment of scope, capacity, and strategy.
  • Provide technical and delivery insights during RFP calls, RFIs, and client pre-bid discussions.
  • Drive post-proposal evaluations and participate in project lessons learned reviews to improve future pursuits.


Client Engagement, Market Coordination & Internal Alignment - 30%



  • Support Market Leaders and Client Team Leads by participating in client meetings, client feedback sessions, and escalated communications.
  • Participate in or lead client meetings during escalated situations, particularly when project-level challenges may impact long-term client relationships.
  • Assist in the preparation of demos, SOQs, and client presentations for new and existing civil renewables customers.
  • Work closely with strategic planning and business development teams to ensure civil renewables offerings support client roadmaps and future partnership opportunities.
  • Work with Client Team Leads to understand market pricing for civil and structural engineering services.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to proactively monitor ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with proposals for upcoming opportunities.


Strategic Market Alignment & Growth - 20%





    • Collaborate with the Renewables Civil Leadership and Market Leaders in executing market growth initiatives.
    • Provide inputs on pursuit pipeline, strategic focus areas, and process improvements.
    • Partner with department leadership and teams to align initiatives with the Renewables Business Unit strategic plan by coordinating priorities, supporting scheduling, and developing systems to track progress toward team and market goals.
    • Assist in the negotiation of contracts during pursuit phases to ensure commercial clarity and manageable risk profiles.




    What We Expect from You



    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering project execution within the renewable energy sector.
    • Advanced technical engineering knowledge, with the ability to understand and resolve complex civil engineering challenges.
    • Proven experience in technical proposal development and client engagement.
    • Ability to manage ambiguity, create structure, and build scalable processes.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
    • Must have a valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one before starting date.
    • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S or Canada.
    • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Must be able to travel to the US and Canada.

    Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $108,000 - $146,000
    * Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
