We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Operations Group Manager - Global Clearing Operations to join our GSS Enablement Operations Client Platform team. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Responsible for day-to-day management of Operations teams within the Platform, accountable for organizing, directing, and managing Operations resources aligned to PODs and Service Delivery Groups (SGDs)

- Execute the Operations strategy for the Platform by planning and day-to-day management of the Operations teams within the SDGs
- Implement comprehensive set of Operations metrics covering client deliverables, unit costs, efficiency benchmarks, and Key Risk Indicators
- Ensure Operations meets the quality, efficiency, and productivity standards and goals set by the Operations Practice and Platform EPO, as measured by Operations metrics
- Implement and enforce the Operations policies, procedures, and best practices of the Operations Practice and ensure compliance with relevant guardrails and regulations
- Collaborate and communicate with other managers within PODs and SDGs to align on objectives and OKRs
- Identify and develop Operations talent, and ensure Operations teams actively engage in Practice learning priorities, with particular emphasis on roll out of Digital Tools

- Lead and Manage the design, implementation, and evaluation of Operations change initiatives and projects that align with the Platform's OKRs
- Engage and consult with key stakeholders, including senior management, clients, partners to understand their expectations, requirements, and feedback on critical change initiatives
- Develop and execute effective communication strategies to inform, educate, and inspire the Operations teams about the change initiatives and their benefits
- Monitor and measure the progress, outcomes, and risks of the change initiatives on Operations process & control environment, and provide regular management updates as required
- Provide coaching and guidance to the Operations teams to facilitate the adoption and integration of change initiatives and address any issues or challenges that may ariseRun the bank
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business
- 10-12 years of total work experience with at least 1-2 years of management experience preferred
- Series 7 and Series 24 FINRA licenses preferred
- Experience in DTC, Fed, or Non-US Market clearance and settlements operations preferred
- Prior hands-on experience with AI prompting and automation projects highly preferred
- Operations experience required, with Agile experience preferred
- Ability to travel as needed
- Background in process re-engineering and experience leading large, diverse teams
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and operations standards. Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and build effective teams
- Highly proficient in data literacy and data management
- Problem-solving passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas
- Non-hierarchical, transparent, trusting, trustworthy
- Eagerness to 'roll up the sleeves' in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $150,000 and $265,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
