Position Summary/ Department Summary:
The Department of Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Research Assistant I (CRAI) to join the Electrocardiogram Core Laboratory. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Audrey Dionne, the Per Diem CRA I will work independently as well as participate in many research projects of the core laboratory, mostly by reviewing patients' charts and entering data in databases (likely for use on AI related projects). There will also be opportunities for participation in various efforts related to electrophysiology and pediatric cardiology and be included in the publication of manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, organize, enter data into electronic systems Files (TMF), and prepare reports.
  • Troubleshoot resolution of any issues that may arise throughout the study.
  • Coordinates and prepares the necessary documentation for Institutional Review Board IRB and Committee on Clinical Investigations CCI submissions, together with the Private Investigator of the study.
  • Conduct EMR data abstraction.
  • Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory standards and data integrity.
  • Serve as a liaison between medical staff, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Work requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in health science, engineering, or computer science.

Experience:
  • Analytical skills to gather and interpret data, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Resourcefulness to independently find answers and solve problems.
  • Effective communication and writing skills to provide critical information to team members. Effectively deal with conflicting views or issues, and the ability to mediate fair solutions.
  • Knowledge of principles of study design and approaches to statistical analysis.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
