Responsibilities

An Average Day:

Serve as the technical authority for the ServiceNow enterprise platform architecture, ensuring n-2 version currency, optimal performance, security compliance, and strategic alignment with customer modernization goals across 17+ applications and multiple production instances. Additionally in this position you will:

    Own the technical architecture for production platform and CI segregated instance
  • Design and validate integration patterns for third-party system connections
  • Lead annual platform upgrade planning and execution (currently Vancouver Xanadu)
  • Conduct ServiceNow health assessments and remediation planning (maintain 91+ score)
  • Develop data architecture models based on ServiceNow best practices
  • Ensure CMDB accuracy and discovery dependency mapping
  • Collaborate with customer Enterprise Architecture on cloud security packages
  • Provide technical oversight for citizen development initiatives
  • Design solutions that maximize out-of-the-box (OOB) functionality
  • Review and approve all custom code and configurations for platform integrity


Qualifications

  • Must pass Federal Background Investigation (MBI) / Moderate Risk Level Tier 2, Public Trust required
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with a minimum of 3 consecutive years of U.S. residency from date of legal entry
  • Must pass federal tax compliance screening
  • Minimum 7 years ServiceNow/Enterprise Service Management architecture experience
  • Minimum 2 years in Federal government environments
  • Must have verifiable recent (within past 3 years) hands-on experience delivering enterprise service management solutions in the IRS operational environment or an equivalent federal environment of comparable scale, governance, and compliance complexity.
  • Prior ownership of multi-module ServiceNow architectures maintained at n-2 currency
  • Proven experience with IT Operations Management (ITOM) implementations and Network Operations Center (NOC) environments
  • ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management)
  • CSDM/CMDB strategy and implementation
  • Integration architecture patterns (REST, SOAP, MID Servers)
  • Platform upgrade strategy and execution
  • Performance optimization and availability management
  • Security architecture (RBAC, encryption, data segregation)
  • Required Certification: ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $165,000.00/Yr. - USD $216,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
