Job Title: Associate Scientist - In Vivo Pharmacology (Ex Vivo Analysis)

Location: Foster City, CA, 94404

Duration: 8+ Months

Position Description

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join Client's In Vivo Pharmacology team in Foster City, specifically supporting ex vivo analyses associated with in vivo mouse studies. This role will be part of an established team and will contribute to developing a mechanistic understanding of preclinical in vivo studies supporting multiple programs utilizing engineered human CAR T cells.

The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment and play a key role in generating and analyzing high-quality immunology data to support ongoing and future programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Characterize immune parameters such as cell expansion and phenotype using ex vivo blood samples from preclinical mouse studies with engineered human CAR T cells.
  • Process and analyze ex vivo blood samples using flow cytometry, molecular biology, and other analytical techniques.
  • Assess antigen expression on tumor cell lines by flow cytometry for use in in vivo studies.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional project teams.
  • Present data and actively participate in project team and cross-departmental meetings.
  • Demonstrate and promote core values including passion, teamwork, integrity, and trust.



Basic Qualifications

  • Master's Degree with 2+ years of scientific experience

    OR
  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of scientific experience

    OR
  • Associate's Degree with 5+ years of scientific experience

    OR
  • High School Diploma with 6+ years of scientific experience



Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or BS in Biology or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry and complex fluorochrome-conjugated antibody panels.
  • Strong immunology background, including phenotypic analysis of human immune cell populations and markers of activation/exhaustion.
  • Experience using data analysis software such as FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, and BD FACSDiva.
  • Familiarity with additional molecular biology techniques, including ddPCR.
  • Ability to independently conduct analyses while functioning effectively within a team.
  • Strong ability to multitask, maintain a high level of integrity and attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills, including experience with electronic lab notebooks (e.g., Benchling).
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, critical data analysis, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
