We are seeking an experienced SAP Systems Analyst III to join our IT team and provide technical leadership across our SAP landscape. In this role, you will own the SAP technical architecture, guide development and integration standards, and serve as a trusted advisor between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams. You will lead complex SAP initiatives, mentor technical resources, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality SAP solutions that support current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the technical lead for SAP development and integration efforts across the SAP ecosystem.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce SAP technical standards, best practices, and architecture guidelines.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for SAP S/4HANA initiatives, upgrades, and cloud-based innovations.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to business and IT leadership on SAP capabilities, roadmap, and solution design.

Solution Design & Development

  • Lead the design and development of SAP solutions using OOABAP, RICEF objects, BOPF, CDS views, Fiori/UI5, and SAP integration technologies.
  • Provide deep expertise in SAP NetWeaver, ABAP, SAP HANA database architecture, and SAP Fiori/UI.
  • Oversee and support ABAP and Fiori development for patching, enhancements, and release upgrades.
  • Guide the use of SAP S/4HANA technologies and cloud-native frameworks such as RAP and CAP.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Integration, Testing & Operations

  • Lead integration design using RFC, BAPI, IDoc, SOAP, REST, and OData.
  • Oversee integration, regression, and upgrade testing, including performance tuning and optimization.
  • Partner with functional teams during user acceptance testing (UAT) and production readiness.
  • Provide escalation-level support for complex operational issues, including reports, data loads, and system troubleshooting.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for SAP systems.

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Mentor and guide SAP developers and analysts, providing technical direction and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Stay current on SAP trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, proactively recommending improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of SAP application development and support experience, with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Advanced expertise in SAP NetWeaver, ABAP, SAP HANA DB architecture, and SAP Fiori/UI.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA technologies.
  • Strong experience with SAP integration technologies and modern cloud frameworks.
  • Prior experience in a Lead, Senior, or Architect-level SAP role strongly preferred.
  • Utility industry experience is a plus.
