As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution, you will monitor entrances, manage badge access, and help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols. Your presence and exceptional customer service will help create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by responding to inquiries and assisting with directions or information related to site-specific policies.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
• Assist in emergency response activities as needed, including guiding visitors and/or staff to designated areas.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
