What to Expect Tesla is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Material Planner to work in Spares department. The ideal candidate will have experience performinig both material planning and procurement in a manufacturing environment, with processing equipment This position will require a person that is capable of understanding the details of manufacturing processes and business needs. What You'll Do Plan, schedule, and manage assigned critical spare parts for various product lines and facilities Collaborate and communicate with Sustaining Engineering and Maintenance teams for parts identification, required for minminum inventory needs and urgent orders Work closely with Spares manager and technicians for physical inventory audits, shipping, receiving and logistic support Monitor parts coverage, track consumption trends and execute/adjust orders as needed based on demand and capacity changes Bring awareness in advance to critical inventory shortage and /or supply restraints; suggest and find alternative part and sourcing options Work with suppliers to issue RFQ for sourcing.
