Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Senior Supply Chain Analyst for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This role will develop accurate material cost estimates for proposals based on FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement). This role will analyze proposal requirements, review the bill of materials, develop costing strategies, execute costing strategies, and provide supporting analysis of the data. This position will partner with proposal and program management teams to align material cost estimates with bid strategy; ensuring submissions are competitive, compliant, and audit ready. The ideal candidate is able to work well under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, and produce accurate, high-quality work by being conscientious and detail oriented.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify parts that require quotations and analyze Component Bills of Materials (CBOMs) for completeness and accuracy, ensuring timely submission to support proposals
  • Utilize ProPricer, Costpoint, COGNOS, and Microsoft Office to create meaningful cost models and generate accurate and timely reports
  • Conduct thorough proposal analysis and provide recommendations to ensure a current, complete, and accurate cost or price volume
  • Interface and support both internal and external customers during post-proposal submission audits, fact-findings, and negotiations
  • Develop, organize, and maintain cost traceability linking supplier quotes, historical data, and pricing rationale to proposal submissions for audit readiness and internal transparency
  • Measure target costs against proposal costs and work with Supply Chain Management on methods to meet targets
  • Lead procurement kick-off meetings with the procurement team defining the scope of the award and expectations on order placement
  • Advise planning, engineering and drafting of item master errors, updates, or omissions in relation to mil-specs or new or obsolete items
  • Represent Supply Chain during customer negotiations and customer program reviews; review and validate any bids; supply copies of POs/LOCs; prepare charts for customer presentations
  • Ability to work with other functional areas and be able to support and present material estimates to executive level management
  • Develop a deep understanding of internal cost proposal processes and procedures, as well as external Government contracting regulations (FAR, CAS, and TINA), and mentor co-workers and other functional areas on these practices
  • Review supplier quote packages and coordinate timely internal communications to prevent proposal delays
  • Attend weekly Program meetings and identify any "potential" issues that can be addressed early on
  • Assist department staff with various analyses for the specific area of expertise
  • Provide routine status and track outstanding actions and issues
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal customers
  • Utilize Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information
  • Automate recurring reporting and variance tracking to improve visibility into material cost drivers across programs
  • Improve understanding of purchasing relationship to the over-all company plans and strategy
  • Look for creative ways to improve purchasing ability to make contributions to the company's goals
  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and make decisions
  • Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or commodity progress, productivity and variance analysis
  • Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations
  • Strong customer interface skills
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, technical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • A successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities is preferred
  • Experience with Pro Pricer preferred

The salary range for this position is $70,744.00/year- $91,967.00 for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
