Job Description

The Commercial Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Rockwell Automation by actively contributing to a diverse range of fast-paced and challenging projects. You will focus on collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams to support the successful implementation of Control Systems using Rockwell Automation technologies.

This position demands exceptional communication skills and the ability to work with geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams. Strong application engineering expertise is important.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise and commercial knowledge of Rockwell Automation products and industrial automation applications.
  • Stay current with control and automation standards, particularly those relevant to industrial automation and critical infrastructure.
  • Be a technical expert supporting Marketing and Sales in pre-sales engagements related to Controls and Design Software, including system architecture reviews and recommendations.
  • Create technical documentation, presentations, webinars, videos, and other resources to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team and domain experts.
  • Support trade shows by developing presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on labs.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations both remotely and at Customer Solution and Experience Centers.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 15% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires 8 years of relevant experience with recognized technical expertise in automation solutions and strong application knowledge.
  • Experience developing, supporting, and implementing automation control solutions.
  • Experience presenting to both executive and technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation products such as Studio 5000 Logix Designer, ControlLogix and/or CompactLogix controllers and modules, and FactoryTalk Analytics.
  • Domain expertise in smart machine concepts, including Industry 4.0 and IIoT.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $125,920.00 - 188,880.00 USD Annual with an annual target bonus of 8% of base salary. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
