As a Central Service Technician Lead Tech (CSTIII) in an outpatient and inpatient area, you will support the clinical staff by helping to ensure critical supplies are available when needed for patient care and safety.This position will primarily be based within the UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital location, where the incumbent will oversee Inpatient and outpatient areas. This person will also be involved in training, and in coordinating supply needs across UCLA campuses. Incumbent will provide general direction and training to staff, to ensure that production is maintained in all areas and shifts and assigned tasks are completed. Creates daily assignments and allocate tasks to staff. Responsible for customer service and ensures all customer requirements are met with established UCLA Health C-ICARE training. Manage inventory, maintain PAR levels and back up supplies, ensuring the availability of supplies when needed. Ordering, receiving, distributing, and delivering supplies in a timely manner. Incumbent stocks, cleans, organizes the inventory holding rooms and other work areas, fill orders, pack, deliver, create, and maintain inventory information. Perform physical inventory counts and accurate data entry.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  • Training of new staff with oversight to ensure the consistent quality and throughput of technical and procedural workflows associated with placing orders, managing inventory par levels, tracking shipments, receiving, and stocking.
  • Oversight of logistics associated with CST ordering, receiving, tagging product, and distribution of supplies.
  • Incumbent may need to perform duties as a Central Service Technician (CST), which include the distribution and management of supplies and equipment.
  • Since this position is a support position to patient care, assignments will be given according to the department needs and the organizational goals.
  • Ability to operate a University vehicle to deliver supplies to multiple off-site location

Qualifications

  • Current California Driver's license in good standing, subject to DMV Pull
  • Ability to receive, lift, carry, push, pull, transport, and stock supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a University vehicle to deliver supplies to multiple off-site locations
  • Ability to understand and adhere to the healthcare regulations for infection control.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to provide general direction and train staff.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to Materials Management/Receiving and UCLA Policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated communications skills, ability to maintain good guest relations inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment including co-workers, patients, and family members, in a courteous and respectful manner.
