Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Watch/Patrol in Monroeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide exceptional service through clear communication and a caring approach. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working as part of a dedicated and reliable team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with facility staff and/or emergency personnel during incidents or drills, providing assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccinations required for hospital assignments.
  • Must be able to work in hospital morgue environments.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
