As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Leader in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable to customers and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate professionally with store staff, management, and visitors to support a positive experience at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
