Staffmark has joined forces with a leading medical manufacturing company, seeking a skilled Buyer in Woodstock, CT. Join our dynamic team and contribute to over 80 years of industry-leading innovation across diverse markets.

Salary: $55,000 - $85,000/yr.

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage supplier quality, timeliness, and overall performance.
• Monitor material supply flow, resolve shortages, and address inventory issues.
• Forecast market challenges and adjust plans based on industry trends.
• Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and process material orders.
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality and delivery standards while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ERP system knowledge preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage workload effectively, and collaborate in a team environment.
• Comfortable with prolonged desk/computer work.
• Strength in vendor evaluation, negotiations, and ability to find better pricing.
• Must be self-motivated and adaptable.
