JOB SUMMARY

This position serves as the bridge between software engineering and manufacturing operations. The Software Engineer will design and maintain the C# and Epicor ERP ecosystem that powers CPS&S manufacturing. This role moves beyond basic maintenance; you will build custom integrations, optimize production workflows through algorithmic solutions and develop hardware-interfacing applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Epicor ERP Development & Customization

• 
  

  Design and implement Epicor Customizations, Business Process Management (BPM) directives, and Epicor Functions to automate complex workflows.

  
  

• 
  

  Build robust integrations.

  
  

C# Application & Software Engineering

• 
  

  Develop standalone C# applications to solve specific manufacturing challenges.

  
  

• 
  

  Create optimization tools for operations.

  
  

• 
  

  Write and maintain C# code for hardware interaction.

  
  

Operational Engagement & Implementation

• 
  

  Shop Floor Collaboration: Work on the production floor to observe manufacturing processes firsthand, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities where software can solve physical workflow problems.

  
  

• 
  

  Solution Deployment & Training: Drive the implementation of new applications and Epicor enhancements, providing hands on training to operators and gathering direct feedback to ensure adoption.

  Workflow Analysis: actively bridge the gap between engineering and production by learning the nuances of shop operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

  
  

• 
  

  C# Proficiency: Strong experience in C# development, including OOP principles, .NET.

  
  

• 
  

  SQL: ability to write complex queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server.

  
  

• 
  

  Integration Experience: Familiarity with integrating software with hardware or third-party platforms.

  
  

• 
  

  Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City, Missouri area.

  
  

Preferred

  Working knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP
