Aquent has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Administrative Specialist in Redwood City, CA!

This position is 100% on-site. For this reason, we will only consider candidates who can comfortably commute to our client's office in Redwood City on a daily basis.

In addition, to be considered for this position, you must:



  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis. 1099 or C2C is not permitted for this position.

**About the Role:**

In this vital role, you will be at the heart of patient coordination and clinic operations, playing a crucial part in ensuring every patient's journey is smooth and supportive. You'll manage the intricate details of patient administration, from initial contact to scheduling and follow-up, directly impacting patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your ability to connect with patients, manage complex schedules, and support clinical staff will be instrumental in delivering the high standard of care this organization is known for. **What You Will Do:**

* Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and assisting with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.

* Manage multi-line phone systems, screening and routing calls, and taking accurate messages for clinical staff and providers.

* Ensure all necessary patient verifications and authorizations are complete before appointments.

* Collaborate closely with providers to align on scheduling preferences and respond effectively to urgent patient needs.

* Provide essential support to patients and providers, utilizing reference tools and resources to address questions and facilitate communication.

* Perform diverse administrative tasks, including maintaining crucial information databases and processing internal documentation.

* Efficiently utilize telephone systems and electronic medical record systems to execute daily responsibilities.

* Consistently meet or exceed organizational and departmental service standards.

* Address non-clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating complex issues appropriately.

* Oversee the management and distribution of faxes, mail, and the meticulous filing of clinic-specific documentation.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

* Proficiency with computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting.

* Exceptional customer service abilities, with a proven capacity to solve problems and manage multiple priorities effectively.

* Strong command of office software, computer operating systems, and basic computer skills.

* Ability to adapt communication style to suit the needs and understanding of diverse individuals.

* Proven ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful or fast-paced situations.

* Strong multitasking skills and the capacity to thrive in a busy, dynamic environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36.79 to $39.79 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
