Moog's Military Aircraft Group is in search of an experienced Supply Specialist. The Supply Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end purchase order placement to achieve site operational requirements. That includes managing purchase orders from PO placement through receiving parts. This includes contact administration, coordination with strategic sourcing, site operations team, and regional supply chain teams (where applicable), and cross-functional coordination to resolve supply chain issues.

This position offers an onsite, 1st shift schedule with opportunity for Hybrid, located in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this role, here's what you typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred in the fields of supply chain, business, engineering, or accounting plus at least 3-5 years of relevant supply chain procurement experience; OR associate degree plus a minimum of 10 years relevant supply chain procurement experience.

    • This includes PO placement and leading negotiations with external customers or suppliers.

  • Knowledge of procurement processes including but not limited to PO placement, RFQ/RFP requirements, quality assurance, customer flow-down requirements, parts scheduling, and management, DDMRP processes/inputs.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow Supply Chain regulations/procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.

  • Knowledge of Moog systems (MBS, TIPQA, PowerBi, Rapid Response, etc.)

  • This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

As a Supply Specialist, you will:

  • Managing assigned suppliers from end-to-end including converting demand signals into Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with contractualterms and conditions and Moog systems and processes.

  • Creating Sole Source Justification and Price Analysis documents in support of Government DFAR regulations.

  • Generate and manage Purchase Order documentation in alignment with Government Compliance Checklist requirements, including order entry as needed.

  • Developing and executing procurement replenishment solutions and strategies. This includes managing supply chain master settings responsibilities for assigned parts which include the coordination and governance of demand-driven buffer strategies.

  • Communicating directly and influence Suppliers to obtain/improve delivery commitments and provide the site with up-to-dateinformation.

  • Leading and facilitating cross functional teams to solve complex supply chain problems. This includes leading investigations for supplier non-conformances and return to vendor (RTV).

  • Communicating and influencing internal site functions to achieve operational goals. Examples include but are not limited to:

    • Coordinating with Logistics and Receiving Inspection (RI) toensure parts are delivered to point of use as required.

    • Liaising between other sites or operating groups to resolve issues impacting delivery or quality.

    • Coordinating with strategic sourcing to ensure contractual terms and conditions are operationalized into theintegrated planning and placement processes.

    • Leading cross functional teams across several Moog sites and determining allocation of shared supply across multiple operating groups.

    • Collaborating with finance, planning, and engineering to ensure proper billing for intercompany repairs.

To be successful in this role, candidate will typically possess:

  • MBA or MS a plus

  • An engineering or technical background is preferable.

  • Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Program Management.

  • APICS or other industry standard certifications are a plus.

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$95,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
