Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector verifies product quality by examining incoming material, performing inspections of finished devices, and conducting functional testing of electronic circuit boards and electronic components. Responsibilities include following controlled documentation, accurately recording inspection and test results, and verifying the accuracy and completeness of all quality records.

Essential Functions:



  • Following established and approved controlled documentation.
  • Reliably, consistently, and accurately recording results of inspections and tests.
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of quality records.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations in the performance of job duties.
  • Preparing and completing quality records associated with inspection and testing activities.
  • Supporting production with timely completion of tasks and reports associated quality control activities.
  • Following established and approved controlled documentation.
  • Reliably, consistently, and accurately recording results of inspections and tests.
  • Collaborate with Quality management in developing improvements to inspection processes.


Basic Qualifications:

Education



  • Minimum High School Graduate of GED
  • Two (2) year technical degree or equivalent in electronic technology preferred.


Experience:



  • Two (2) years' experience executing test protocols in a production/engineering environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply basic inspection techniques (i.e., sampling plans)
  • Ability to properly use basic inspection tools such as calipers, dial indicators and pin gages.
  • Familiarity with electronic assemblies, cabling, multimeters and mechanical components
  • Demonstrated computer skills with Word, Excel, and Access


Competencies:



  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be capable of performing task(s) with little to no supervision while completing task(s) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to perform physical activities that include the ability to lift and handle 40 lbs or more and to stand for long periods of time while performing job duties.
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Ability to communicate with and work collaboratively with international team members.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member.
  • Maintain excellent professional relationships with team members.


Working Conditions:



  • Typical workdays are Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3.30pm with occasional overtime to meet customer needs.
  • Typical indoor manufacturing plant environment.
  • May require PPE and periodic exposure to low dose radiation.
