Software Developer

STS Aviation Group is hiring a Software Developer to join its Information Technology team in Jensen Beach, Florida. This role supports enterprise software development initiatives and works closely with internal stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and efficient business solutions.

The Software Developer reports directly to the Director of Software Development and works within an agile environment focused on custom software development, database programming, and system integrations that support business operations across the enterprise.

• College or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously develop technical skills
  

• Exposure to .NET, MVC, and MVC Web API
  
• Exposure to AngularJS, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud technologies
  
• Exposure to HTML5, CSS, and responsive design patterns
  
• Exposure to developing AI powered applications and agents
  
• UI and UX design pattern experience preferred
  
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL based database platforms
  
• Business Intelligence knowledge, preferably with Microsoft BI tools including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
  
• Exposure to NoSQL platforms, preferably CosmosDB
  
• Exposure to JSON and XML serialization, deserialization, and storage
  
• Familiarity with consuming API data using REST and SOAP
  
• Exposure to Linux operating systems, NodeJS experience preferred
  
• Strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts
  
• Strong understanding of relational database design and querying concepts
  
• Familiarity with Git version control systems
  

• Work in a fast paced environment delivering custom software and database solutions
  
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to improve security, scalability, and performance
  
• Contribute to enterprise wide systems that support business operations

• Report directly to the Director of Software Development
  
• Work within an agile team to develop, test, and maintain applications and services
  
• Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements and user stories
  
• Prepare reports, manuals, and technical documentation related to software systems
  
• Design, develop, and unit test applications following established standards
  
• Participate in peer reviews and pair programming exercises
  
• Assist in migrating legacy applications to modern platforms and technologies
  
• Develop, refine, and maintain integrations between applications
  
• Analyze and resolve technical and application issues
  
• Deliver solutions on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards
  
• Provide ongoing support to internal business users
