About the Role:

The Registered Nurse in the Pediatrics Doctor's Office plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents within a clinical outpatient setting. This position involves collaborating closely with pediatricians and healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to the unique needs of pediatric patients. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications and vaccines, and providing education and support to both patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for young patients. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice within the United States.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing principles, immunization schedules, and common childhood illnesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Previous experience in a pediatric outpatient or primary care office environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
• Additional certifications related to pediatric nursing or child health.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough health assessments and vital sign monitoring for pediatric patients during office visits.
• Administer prescribed medications, immunizations, and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with pediatricians to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting all nursing care and observations.
• Assist in coordinating referrals to specialists and follow-up care as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety regulations within the clinical environment.
• Support the pediatric healthcare team in emergency situations and perform basic life support as needed.
