The Project Coordinator/Manager is responsible for providing the necessary planning, communication, and coordination of efforts to ensure that assigned projects are successfully managed and delivered to the satisfaction of our customers. The Project Coordinator/Manager develops and facilitates timelines and work product from the areas of design, sales, and manufacturing. For the customer the Project Coordinator/Manager is the main PCA point of contact on the project.



PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Provide hands-on coordination and management of assigned projects for an assigned area (including Point of Purchase displays and Point of Sale projects). This includes outlining project deliverables, negotiating internally and externally on the timeline, communicating the status of project/s, and following up as needed to ensure that the project remains on track and the necessary deliverables are provided when promised.



Provide back-up support for Sales Associates at Key Accounts and for coordinating the effective transition of new accounts from sales to customer service and/or project management.



Develop and maintain project development tools and recommend cost saving alternatives that will improve productivity, organizational speed, and maximize value to our customer.



Embody the PCA principle of "Easy to do business with" by providing out of the norm solutions to customer needs. Maintain a solid understanding of all of PCA resources and integrate non-PCA resources as needed.



Develop and maintain solid working relationships with PCA customers. The Project Coordinator/Manager is expected to have a strong understanding of the customer's business and operation in order to identify additional revenue opportunities for PCA products.



Approach product development with an understanding of manufacturing, design and material costs, the plant's production capabilities, and the project's impact on profitability.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree.



7+ years' of experience in the corrugated industry with a background in sales, customer service, design management, or production supervision.



2+ years' of work experience with Point of Purchase displays.



Solid working knowledge of distribution packaging, testing and printing processes.



Solid working knowledge computer systems including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook



Must be able to travel as necessary and possess a valid U.S. driver's license.



Must be authorized to work in the U.S.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree in business operations.



Previous experience working in a team environment preferred, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing among co-workers.

Ability to quickly grasp the customer's current situation and needs based on the current market environment and cross business objectives. Based on customer understanding, able create product solutions for customer needs.



Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with multiple audiences on procedures, policies, practices, and requests for information.



Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships with individuals of various experience and corporate levels both within and outside of the company.



Solid financial and business operations analysis skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvements.



Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to create new business opportunities.



Ability to be accessible, available and responsive to the customer and understand the customer's point of view. Ability to advocate for customer needs to others and create mutual agreement on project scope.



Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks concurrently.



Strong listening, evaluating, and problem solving skills. Ability to create alternative solutions and meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary range for position: $74,400 - $111,600
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
