$57,699.20 - $107,140.80 Position Summary

Develops and supervises the implement the lab quality management and quality improvement programs. Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions. Provide consultation and direction to ensure the quality assurance programs and services are implemented at the highest standards. Ensure policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes. Works with the Laboratory Director to document and standardize all processes at clinic laboratory sites.

Required Qualifications
  • MT, ASCP with current state License or MLT, ASCP with current state License required; MT, ASCP with current state license preferred.

  • Minimum five years of experience in clinical lab.

  • Valid Driver's license, in state of residency, for travel to other Company offices is required.

Key Performance Areas
  • Provide assistance in preparing offices for COLA inspections by ensuring the following are available and accurate: Daily/Weekly/Monthly maintenance records, Quality Control Records, Calibration Records, Procedure Manuals, Temp Records; Proficiency Tests, Physician Signatures as needed, and employee required CEU's are current.

  • Coordinate and develop standard training used by Transition Associates to train clinic personnel on the use and implementation of the Quality Assurance manual.

  • Develop and implement standard work practices in the laboratory across all Company clinic sites. Periodically audit clinic sites to ensure standard practices are being followed.

  • Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care,patients' rights, safety, billing, and collections. Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and procedures and Disaster Recovery Plan.

  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient information at all times.

  • Review, assess and document competency of Laboratory Associates. Provide training and/or develop plan for addressing any gaps identified.

  • Provide input for Laboratory Associates performance reviews as needed to their managers.

  • Requires up to 75% travel.
