Are you a relationship-driven strategist who thrives at the intersection of creativity, collaboration, and client partnership? A premier Richmond-based creative agency is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their growing team.

This award-winning creative marketing agency is known for producing people-first, purpose-driven work that helps senior living communities build trust, stand out, and drive real business results. The agency specializes in bespoke, creatively led marketing solutions-not cookie-cutter campaigns-and is deeply focused on long-term partnerships and meaningful outcomes.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to independently lead a portfolio of accounts and serve as the strategic, day-to-day partner to both clients and internal teams. This is a true senior-level role designed for someone who can step in, quickly understand complex businesses, confidently guide conversations, and run accounts with autonomy and maturity.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts, owning the relationship end-to-end.
  • Build deep, strategic partnerships with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with creative, digital, media, and marketing teams to deliver work that exceeds expectations.
  • Participate in brainstorming and strategic planning sessions, contributing to the development of innovative marketing solutions.
  • Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Lead project timelines, manage budgets, and ensure on-time, on-strategy execution.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to provide updates, gather insights, and reinforce alignment.
  • Partner with internal marketing and digital experts to establish annual KPIs and performance benchmarks
  • Monitor and discuss key metrics such as lead volume, conversion health, and occupancy-related outcomes
  • Participate in quarterly reporting and ongoing optimization conversations
  • Help clients pivot strategy as market conditions, budgets, or priorities shift
  • Translate data into insights and actionable recommendations for clients
  • Collaborate closely with creative, digital, marketing, and media teams
  • Participate in strategic planning and brainstorming sessions
  • Ensure alignment across teams while fostering collaboration and consensus
  • Thrive in an environment where creative teams are deeply involved in account conversations
  • Partner closely with a Project Success Manager (a hybrid project management role) and work together to translate client needs into actionable plans and keep work moving efficiently.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of account management experience within a marketing, advertising, or creative agency
  • Direct experience supporting senior living or senior care clients from an agency perspective is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and independently
  • Strong client-facing communication and negotiation skills
  • Confident making strategic recommendations and pushing back when needed
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change in a growing agency environment
  • Candidates considered for remote work must demonstrate hands-on senior living experience
  • Experience must align with creative-led, customized marketing-not purely formulaic lead-generation models
  • Comfortable working in a Mac-based environment
  • Proficient with Google Workspace and virtual meeting tools
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Function Point, Basecamp, Asana, Monday.com, or similar
