A Day In The Life
The Marketing Communication Specialist will assist in the oversight of GST's web presence and manage email campaigns to align with the department's objectives. The specialist will help establish and maintain relationships with website and CRM agencies and stakeholders, and support cross-functional collaboration with GST and its dealers.

As a Specialist, Mktg. Comm. you will:

  • Website Management: Manage GST's online presence on BuyAToyota.com and Toyota.com.
  • Collaborate with the Incentives, Accessories, and Marketing stakeholders to ensure incentives, images, and vehicle prioritization are accurate on GST's website properties.
  • Oversee the incentive input process in collaboration with the Incentives Manager.
  • Support efforts with internal stakeholders and GST's agencies to ensure offers are approved in a timely way on website properties, and that any necessary details are shared with teams as needed for campaign execution.
  • Serve as point of contact for TMNA's website team and agencies, including relevant projects related to website content and user experience. Travel for meetings with TMNA as needed.
  • Provide strategic insights on the use of the website in marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee GST's instance of the Toyota.com configurator, ensuring all vehicles listed include accurate accessory information, pricing, and imagery.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Analytics Manager to ensure GST's website presence is accurately tagged.
  • Coordinate with Dealer Operations team to provide website insights and align with Tier 3 strategies as needed to support dealer consultative model.
  • Understand analytics reporting (such as Google Analytics) as it relates to website performance.
  • Assist in the development of custom landing pages and maintain page accuracy.
  • CRM Campaigns Management: Lead development of CRM campaign assets
  • Develop and manage annual CRM campaign calendars, including test calendars.
  • Oversee creation, deployment, and analysis of all CRM campaigns (retail and fixed operations). Direct agency partners in the effort to maximize reach and achieve increasingly efficient and effective campaigns as measured by digital KPIs and email engagement metrics.
  • Partner with agencies as they develop audience selection strategy for CRM campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Marketing Communications and the Marketing Analytics team to understand and communicate campaign performance to marketing team and partners.
  • Coordinate status meetings with agency partners.
  • Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance on all campaigns.
  • Support Manager, Marketing Communication as back-up for monthly creative campaign approvals and other duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Field Marketing Operations, to provide any website learnings, CRM campaign examples, and/or insights to dealers as needed. Travel for dealer visits as needed.
  • Be familiar with Toyota brand guidelines and the usage of marketing elements.
  • Build and maintain relationships at GST and TMNA to understand and explore opportunities to meet business goals and be aware of product changes. Work cross-functionally between media, analytics, and sponsorship teams. Attend off-site meetings among key stakeholders including agency partners, TMNA and SET.
  • Ongoing analysis of marketing and automotive trends and ability to develop and implement alternate strategies as needed.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Toyota vehicles and strategic approaches.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree Pref
  • 1-3 years experience in marketing or automotive field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of marketing and marketing technology, website management and analytics, database management, and AI.
  • Attend off-site meetings among key stakeholders including agency partners, TMNA and SET.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal. (High proficiency)
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies.
  • Ability to lead in a constantly evolving environment. (High proficiency)

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
